The Mutanda Mine and the Deziwa Mine are open-pit copper mines. Mutanda is majority-owned by Canadian Glencore and Deziwa by Chinese CNMC. The complex composition of the work includes the two adjacent mines, the town of Kisenda on both banks of the Lualaba River and the Tilwezembe mine south of town.
